Retaining walls with Invie
After the trial pour at Lodewikus, we have of course not been idle. In recent years, we have been able to test Invie on a project basis within the production environments of De Hamer, Romein, De Meteoor and Kemper. At the latter, eight retaining walls incorporating Invie were produced in December.
Heijmans and Rijkswaterstaat.
The project by clients Heijmans and Rijkswaterstaat had already started before Invie came into the picture. Anco Trip of Kemper explains: 'In a nutshell: Heijmans had become interested by the sustainable nature of Invie, but Rijkswaterstaat also had to be convinced; after all, they were at the heart of the contract. Fortunately, they too found the Invie solution so interesting that they gave their approval.
The result consisted of eight retaining walls that will soon be placed at the Apeldoorn-Twello road widening project. It is a set-up for portals (place next to the crash barrier where the scaffolding stands for the signs above the road). The retaining walls still have little structural value; they only hold back soil. The project will obviously be monitored and will provide valuable information for future Invie projects'.
